Each one began as a concrete product problem and was resolved by an engineering decision - local inference and retrieval quality, event clustering at scale, falsifiable domain diagnostics, accounting invariants.

The tools here reflect the ones I have used most often in the projects I have worked on: systems I have debugged under pressure, scaled in production, and reasoned about in architecture decisions.

Pragmatic, tool-agnostic: when starting something new, the stack is chosen for what fits the product and what makes sense in the current landscape - not defaulted to from habit. Experience with a tool is useful context; it should inform the choice, not make it by default.
